Oh why, did I choose to watch “I Am Legend” right before bedtime!? Oh why!? >.>

I just saw the most awesome thing EVAR! To be precise it is in the pre-theme song scene of the second season of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Forever, episode number six. In that scene, if you care to look (not very carefully by the way), you will find a pony version of Jesus, Donnie, The Dude and Walter (from The Big Lebowski) in the bowling alley. The rest of the episode after that was a blur from the total awesome shockness!

Now if you don’t know who I am referring to or have never seen The Big Lebowski, please do yourself a favor and go experience it before talking to me. *nod nod*

And I know why I did it! 

I was eating a bowl of soup, and it was hot, so I did what everyone does and blew on the spoonfuls of soupy goodness before putting them into my mouth. Well later in that same meal I decided to have a single scoop of ice cream (my throat was sore and I needed the coldness). I caught myself blowing on the spoonfuls of cold cold ice cream before eating them. I must have done it at least 5 times before realizing. After catching my idiocy I glanced around to see if anyone else witnessed my sudden lack of common sense. Thankfully I don’t think anyone did. 

…of being sick and tired. Here I am, lovely people, sick as a dog. What started this morning as a simple cold is now a full blown flu. I find that hilarious as I got the flu shot for this year. >.> On top of all this ickyness I find myself upset (again) due to the historical inaccuracy of a once great movie, Braveheart.

My heritage is of the Scottish clan of Graham, and I found NO mention of Sir John Graham of Dundaff, otherwise known as “The Right Hand of Wallace”. Most of that movie should have had a Graham by the side of Wallace (including the scene where Wallace avenges his wife). When Sir John Graham died in battle it was William Wallace who carried his body to his final resting place, where he is buried to this day. *sigh* However, I guess being accurate doesn’t make for good cinema these days.

I have been many places around this planet Earth of ours, however the most underrated, majestic, beautiful place I have ever been is also the last place I feel like being. Here at the edge of the World, sits I. On the tip of the Hindu Kush mountains lies my temporary home in the country of Afghanistan. Beauty if you care to look, Aladdin like wonderment in places you least expect. Just be sure to look and watch your step, for a wrong move in most of this country can land a person in the infirmary with one less appendage. Thank you old Russia. 

So here I sit, in a wooden shack, on a cot, with a non-alcoholic German beer in one hand and a good book in the other, trying to find some recollection of what life was like back home. Pictures of the girl I love pass by on my laptop screen. The homesickness rising up in me as it does every night.

I was reading the comments under a video posted by The Onion (An OBVIOUSLY satirical news comedy program) today, and you would not believe just how many people actually BELIEVE the skit actually happened in real life! It is really regrettable just how many people (most of whom were probably American in nature) are so gullible as to believe everything they see on the internet or television as actual fact. *shakes head*
